Dr. Iram Rafiq is a Calgary-based family physician known for her warm, inclusive approach to primary care. She completed her MBBS in Pakistan and earned her Certification in the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP). Her practice offers comprehensive care to individuals and families across all age groups, with a special interest in women’s health, chronic disease management, and mental health.
Before moving to Calgary, Dr. Rafiq served in St. Paul, Alberta, where she played a key role in meeting the needs of a rural and underserved population. Despite limited specialist access, she became a trusted physician and advocate, often managing complex care in a community-focused setting. Her time there helped shape her holistic and resourceful approach to patient care.
Today, Dr. Rafiq brings that same commitment to her Calgary practice, creating a welcoming environment that is both culturally sensitive and patient-centered. She is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi, and strives to ensure every patient feels heard and supported in their health journey.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Rafiq is a proud mother of three, including teenagers. She enjoys keeping a peaceful, well-organized home, experimenting with new recipes, and going for long walks to recharge and reflect.
